Lee S. Gill was born in Mont Belvieu, Texas on December 15, 1951. He attended the
University of Texas at Austin, receiving a B.A. in Economics in 1974 and a Juris Doctor
degree in 1977.
For over 20 years, Mr. Gill has been engaged in private practice in Houston, specializing
in oil, gas and mineral law and related litigation. In 1977, he was admitted to the
Texas Bar and in 1978, he was admitted to the Louisiana Bar. He is Board Certified
by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law, and a member of
the State Bar of Texas, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the Houston Bar
Association.
He has written articles for the newsletter of the Oil, Gas and Mineral Law Section of the
HBA and the newsletter of the Houston Association of Petroleum Landmen.
Mr. Gill's practice focuses on negotiation and drafting of contracts and agreements for
oil and gas exploration, production and acquisition companies, lenders and petroleum
professionals; title examination and opinions for drilling and division order purposes,
for secured transactions and for asset purchases and sales; and litigation involving land
title and oil and gas matters.
